Fashion designer Oriett Domenech was born in the Dominican Republic on March 25th. 1983. Better known for her structured designs, her pieces represent a sensual and modern style that accentuates the best of the feminine silhouette.
She took Illustration and Fashion Design courses at Chavon The School of Design in 2004, but it wasn’t until 2006 when she really started her industry formation, working as an intern in the studio of world renowned Oscar De La Renta in New York, until 2007. In 2009 she took Styling classes at Istituto Europeo di Design in Florence, Italy. Her international awards include Honorable Mention at the III Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño in Madrid, Spain, in 2012. In 2016, Forbes Magazine listed her as one of the 50 most powerful and influential women in the Dominican Republic.
The brand Oriett Domenech was born in 2010, with conceptual designs that intend to communicate a feeling through each piece, describing the ‘Domenech Woman’ as confident, strong, powerful, a leader, while staying feminine and elegant. The designer always highlights that “a woman’s strength lies in her intelligence and love of herself”.
Headquarters are located in the Dominican Republic, as well as its store and atelier. The brand has been sold around the world, in countries like the United States, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, as well as in Europe, including prestigious luxury stores such as Excelsior Milano.
Oriett’s designs are renowned the world over, and some of her collections have been presented in Paris, France. Many of her pieces have walked down famous red carpets on celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Carrie Underwood, Giuliana Rancic, Rebeca Romijn, and others, catching the eye of the international press, including Vogue, Vanity Fair and The New York Times
